Are speech problems or lisps hereditary?

If you think about it, When growing up they problem heard their mother's voice the most, and that is how people learn to talk. They have listened to their mother who may have a speech impediment and they to acquired because that is what they are hearing. It's like when you learn a new word, someone sounds it out for you and you repeat the sound. That is more than likely why they have a speech impediment.
