Iambic Pentameter on Sonnet HELP!?

ok so it's a little difficult to explain through this because I can't put the symbols over each iam....but it's basically like finding the beat of a song...this poem is really easy. (The dark) (est of) (nights with) (no light) (or morn) there are 5 sets in pentameter...penta being 5..... the next line would be... (ends each) (life like) (the night) (ends ev) (ry day) ....but you have to use little marks above each set....hope this helps...
