CalTrain fare evasion ticket for a monthly p holder?

Question is do you have a p, that you can prove is yours for the period when you were served the fare evasion notice? If so, you can use this as evidence, that you had a valid ticket but had mislaid it. If you can't prove it, or have no ticket, then you are going to have a hard time convincing them!
