Could our controller's lax concern about revealing themselves be due to 13,000th year end of the world in 2012?

Did the Aztecs know from their ancient records that the sun destroys our planet every 13,000 year cycles when the sun becomes first quiet in it's solar activity for a few years, and then rebounds with solar flares so huge that they incinerate our planet, and the next such 13,000 year cycle comes in 2012?
