Girl troubles?suggestions please?

ok i lke this girl and she obviously likes me, but shes hung up on her ex so she doesnt want to commit to a relationship, yet she says i traeted her well and it seemed as if we were together but not officially..anyways she told me i was everything she ever wanted but cant do a relationship due to her ex... part of me says move on and part of me wants to stay but we are still friends...and my friend told me to leave her be for a while and she will see how much she misses me and such , should i do that so she can see that or jsut forget bout it and move on fast?
