Should i tell him how i feel?

I really like this guy i have known for 2 years. we are friends and go to the same church. he is also in the same sports as me and i see him a lot. i do not hang out with him out sid of that though. he is in 9th grade and i am is 8th so he goes to the high school and i go to middle school. my brother is also good friends with him. my brother is in 10th grade. resently my brother broke up with his girl friend. she then asked the guy i like to the sadie hawkins dance. to make my brother jelous she said the are going out. he says there is nothing going on. should i tell him how i fell?
